Galanto Ltd.Participant
I would like to know the same.
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantMaybe you should write your letter again, I’m not Gilberto, I’m Anton … π
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantIt works today. Strange.
Maybe something was stored in some cache.
Thank you and I apologize that i engaged you.
Have a nice day!Galanto Ltd.ParticipantYes, I know this from my own experience π However, I continue to use the Power Club theme because I like it (but I don’t know how long it will be).
Therefore, with the best of feelings, I suggest that it is time to work on this issue and make it compatible with Polylang.
There are many reasons for my proposal.
1. As I already wrote, qTranslate-X is no longer supported because it is not promising. There are enthusiasts who continue to develop it on their own, but only because it is difficult to switch from it to Polylang, especially for large sites with many posts (for example, I’m still struggling with the transfer to Polylang, I didn’t do everything automatically).
2. qTranslate-X does not handle SEO well. If he does anything at all on this subject, it is only for the main language. At Polylang, each language is a page in itself and works perfectly for the SEO.
3. No matter how beatiful your themes are, no one will see their beauty if they are somewhere in the back of the search engine rankings. And with qTranslate-X, they can’t be in the top places. Or at least not in all languages. But I’m not sure about the main one either, because search engines are entangled in its tags.
4. Sharing posts with qTranslate-X on social media seems disgusting, as they also do not take into account its tags. And the titles in all possible languages ββare listed first, without hiding the tags. It looks extremely unprofessional!
There are others, but these reasons are enough, I hope.
Sooner or later you will be forced to follow the principle on which Polylang or similar works, so – better think about it now.
I want to say once again that this is not a hate, but a constructive proposal that you should think about, and as soon as possible, not to reject it lightly, because one day it will be extremely difficult for you. I assume that many people will abandon your themes.I know a lot of them myself, because I have recommended your themes and your perfect support.
With the best feelings and wishes for successful work!
TonyGalanto Ltd.ParticipantI do not think so. There are no impossible things for you. If you wanted, you would do it and you will have the most quoted themes in the world of WordPress. There are many other, also specific static first page themes that have already made them compatible with Polylang – are you more incompetent than competing companies? I do not believe!
Have a nice day and good luck!
TonyGalanto Ltd.ParticipantI could, but I wouldn’t want to π
In any case, I like your theme PowerClub so much that I might put up with the monolingual first static page at first, while someone else figures out how to do it if you don’t want to – I’m not a programmer.
Here is a screenshot of the difference in loading the site with qTranslate-XT and Polylang. Also, when I have qTranslate-XT there are problems with the SEO that I don’t see how I can solve – for example because both languages ββare in the same document – I have to be able to address the same document to completely different target groups of people, even from different countries – metadata problems start, etc.
But even only the difference in loading speed itself is impressive, and I have been struggling with the low loading speed for several years and I have done everything possible to speed up the site – image optimization, delayed loading, gzip compression and what not – the sensitive difference appeared first time when I changed qTranslate-XT with Polylang.
Polylang also has drawbacks and difficulties in the beginning due to a completely different principle of operation, but I guess they will clear up over time, since Polylang is one of the most used plug-in for this purpose.
The transition to it was not easy either, but the result is worth it.
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantHi all!
qTranslateX has not been maintained for several years and the author does not intend to resume his work on it, but it is already creating problems with the new versions of WordPress and SEO. Do you envisage any plugin that will make the first page compatible with Polylang? (I personally use PowerClub, a wonderful theme and I don’t want to part with it because of the multilingualism).
Have a nice day!
TonyGalanto Ltd.ParticipantThank you very much! I look forward to seeing your next theme updates with great impatience.
Beware from viruses!Tony
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantI am extremely grateful for the fast and quality work. As always, GraceThemes support is the best! Despite the pandemic and quarantine, you were perfect!
Thanks!Galanto Ltd.ParticipantYou still have not changed anything on this subject, do I keep still active your account?
Greetings,
TonyGalanto Ltd.ParticipantYes, thank you!
However, it is not for me – I’m sending a scrrenshot:
But I set out to check for some other reason (computer, operating system, browser), and it turned out that in this way, left-handed, it only looks when I’m at 90% zoom with Chrome browser (on Windows 10) and by some unfortunate coincidence I was right in this setting when I was trying to center it π It is always centering on other operating systems and other browsers.
I think we do not need to change anything, thanks for your attention.
As always you are great!
Nice day!
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantOn this topic, I found that the problems created the ability of Jetpack to share icons on social networks and likes.
But I will not give up on such opportunities. For SEO, I would like users to be able to share articles and like them on Facebook and other social networks.
I tried some other plugin that shook my databases so much that I had to restore them
from the archive. I would not want to create this problem again.Which plugin for share and likes that is compatible with theme would you recommend to me?
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantI sent you.
Thanks!
TonyGalanto Ltd.ParticipantThis problem is fixed, but unfortunately I don’t know how π
The intervention I was doing was switching the PHP version from 7 to 5 and from 5 to 7 because of error 503 and excluding some for liking and sharing on social networks from Jetpack.By the time I open the site from my phone, I go straight to the blog and normally see the pictures (I only saw text before, without the pictures of the articles).
Thanks!
Galanto Ltd.ParticipantSometimes it really is. Sometimes ;-).
Here’s a screenshots of some different cases:
1. When using the banner:

http://club.galanto.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Screen%20Shot%202017-07-16%20at%204.41.37%20PM.png3. When using a picture that has nothing to do with the post:
http://club.galanto.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Screen%20Shot%202017-07-16%20at%204.44.15%20PM.png4. When there is no picture at all:
http://club.galanto.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Screen%20Shot%202017-07-16%20at%204.40.46%20PM.pngAnd sometimes I have the opportunity to choose from several pictures that I like most π but rarely happens.
I tried clearing all kinds of cache: on the server, on my computer’s browser etc., but there was no change.
This is not so important, but I want to understand the logic of things.
Thanks for your attention!
