I would just like to ask – which image is used when somebody click a Facebook button to share a site, page or post on a Facebook?

Sometimes the selected image has nothing to do with the content I want to share.

Currently the banner image is displaying while in sharing the posts on Facebook

After your answer I try many times and I see that you are right but only if language is English.

Most frequently my site is read in Bulgarian (it is multilingual site).

But when languages is Bulgarian image which is displaying is not the banner image.

I use qTranslate-X for multilingual content support.

With Bulgarian language it is displaying correct image.

Sometimes it really is. Sometimes ;-).

And sometimes I have the opportunity to choose from several pictures that I like most 😉 but rarely happens.

I tried clearing all kinds of cache: on the server, on my computer’s browser etc., but there was no change.

This is not so important, but I want to understand the logic of things.
