To display actual homepage, please setup homepage using following

Go to Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays
Click on radio button of Your latest posts
Go to Appearance -> Theme Options and click on Restore Defaults in bottom side

I have added the code in header.php file to display google Map in place of innerpage banner

To display map in your page
1. Edit your page and add custom fields
2. Set custom field Name to google_map and add Google map iframe code in Value

I have created new page and added fame code to display Google map

To remove the Facebook icon from the footer section
Go to the Appearance -> Theme Options -> Basic Settings -> Header Top Social Icons
and delete the below facebook shortcode

To hide the date, comments and category form blog post
Go to the Appearance -> Editor -> style.css
add below css code at the end of file

.post-date  { display:none; }
.post-comment { display:none; }
.post-categories { display:none; }

It is not possible to to change the date manually and the option is not available to change the date format.

The default size for the footer background image is 1400 x 512 pixel. But you can use any image size.
Please use full width image for footer background.
