Two column CSS does not line up properly

Because the Testimonial shortcut does not have a ‘columns’ parameter, we have to use CSS to create a two column display. However, it is not lining up the top properly on the 2nd ‘blog-post-repeat’ section.
I’ve tried multiple ways but cannot seem to resolve this with CSS.
Any idea on how I can get the first two posts to line up correctly?
FYI, [testimonials] shortcut SHOULD have a columns parameter.
