Testimonials on Homepage not working

After adding a testimonial, the homepage will a) mess up the photos of ‘Recent Project’ (they appear stretched out. Each picture covers the full page width, and are listed vertically instead of 6 pictures in 1 horizontal slider), and b) not show the testimonial at all. Only by removing the testimonial, the homepage will behave correctly again. Looks like it’s messing with the stylesheet.
