Hide recent post in footer and placeholders in Service Boxes

Hi support,
My customer has wishes at the webpage I have created to him with the theme Study Circle.
– First, he wants to hide recent posts in the footer. How could I hide that?
– Then he not want to have images in Frontpage Service boxes. So I have not put any images for that, but in the mobile version the images placeholders are visible. What should I do hide them? or, how should I create colored thin bars instead of images over the text in Services boxes?
