It was the SMUSH plugin, I will have to activate it each time I upload pictures & then turn back off.
Do you know of any photo compression plugins that might work?

Is there any way to keep the main page slider from closing up between each slide?
I have never seen this before, if someone is reading the text further down the page, everytime the slider changes, all the text on the page goes up & down.

I have tried all the settings in slider controls.
