Is there a way to easily rearrange the order of the photos, rather than the automatic chronological order?
Also can the gallery in Section 3 automatically set itself as a fixed size or do all the images have to be exactly the same size/orientation for that?

To rearrange the order of the photos,please install “Post Types Order” plugin
https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/You can use any size of images for photo gallery.
