Photo Gallery in Wide Range Theme

I cannot choose the category when I am on my gallery page. In the demo it worked, but now with my new categories I click on them and nothing changes, the chosen category is not highlighted (as it should be).
Another thing about the gallery: I added about 50 pictures and in the shortcode it is set show=”6″. I can change it to “show=”50″” but I don’t need it, I don’t understand whether it is possible to move to the second page with another 6 pictures. Only the last pictures are shown.

it seems to me I’ve the same problem.
Additionally I see the categories in a list and not in buttons like in the demo.
Last, I didn’t understood if images are automatically resized or I’ve to do resize them manually.Thank you
