Linking Social Icons

Hello,
I’m also having a hard time linking the social icons in the footer with their appropriate link. When entering the link in the footer area of Theme Options, my site URL seems to overpower the external link to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Example: I change [social icon=”facebook” link=”#”] to [social icon=”facebook” link=”www.facebook.com/dhendersondds”], but the hyperlink when hovering over the icon is dhendersondds.com/www.facebook/dhendersondds. Why is my actual link before the external facebook link and how do I fix this?

Note:- include http:// in linkRegards
