H1 Tag in theme

Hi
Can you please tell me how to add H1 to my homepage (Start) url. I have unchecked Site title & Description, which basically does the job by using the title as H1. However, it does not look good on the page itself, since the title and description is the same as my logo above, which already contains the same content. I suppose a custom css needs to be implemented to create the H1 tag?
Kindly advise.Thank you
