This seem like an obvious question but how do you continue to use the great contents in SECTIONS tab (in Theme Options) in your WordPress Theme after creating WordPress POSTs.

I know under the HOMEPAGE settings in Customise, you can set homepage displays as “Your latest posts” or “Static Page”. Obviously the default of using your latest post overwrites the SECTIONS. If you opt for “A static page” then you can’t use the SECTIONS.

I have never figured this out.. Is this not possible?

I want to be able to use the default homepage sections. And I also want to be able to create regular WP Posts for blog and news item. Really my question is – can one create POSTs and also use the default Homepage Sections

Hi,

It is not possible to display latest blog posts with hoemepage section.
You can either use static frontpage or default homepage section.

You can use the latest post shortcode in homepage Section to display blog post.
[latest-news showposts="3"]

To display Blog page
– Create a page from Blog
– Set “Blog – Right Sidebar” page template from Page Attribute panel
– Add this pane to the main menu
