Static home page

Hi Could you please help me with my problem? I was trying to set static front page but with no succes. I changed settings in theme Appearance but nothing happend. I even tried this trick from theme documentation, but with no luck. I will appreciate any help.

After activating the BizGrowth theme, setup homepage using following

    Go to Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays
    Click on radio button of Your latest posts
    Go to Appearance -> Theme Options and click on Restore Defaults in bottom side
