Sports Club Pro – Button targets not functioning

Good afternoon, The shortcode for buttons is opening in the same window, even when I set a target. I've tried several targets with no success. Am I doing something wrong, or am I misunderstanding what that's for? I wasn't able to find any documentation on it, nor any other posts on the forums. Thanks!
