Remove Caption/Title block from Slider

Hi there, I am using Spangle with the Slider on the front page. We don't want titles or captions on the featured images, but just the photos. How do I remove the grey block background in the center of the slide? I've poke around in the JS and CSS but couldn't figure it out. Thank you for this great theme!
