issues with BizGrowth Free

1. Can't seem to get the slider to show. Is this not an option in the free offering? 2. The Homepage 4 Boxes do show, however are hidden behind the stock header/menu bar, is this a know issue or something wrong with my install? It is difficult to tell from the documentation provided for the free offerings whether the above issues I am having are related to the need to upgrade or some other install issue.
