Create Shortcodes for Images in Business Growth

Hi and thank you. Trying to create Shortcode for image to insert in the Homepage of Business Growth theme. Do I need a Plugin to do this? My image (from media) is not wrapping as your demo does, instead it lands above the content. Please advise and thanks much. G.
