control the size of images used

Hi. I’d like to know if it’s possible to control the size of images that I use in posts and on pages on my website. Unfortunately, at the moment the Study Circle theme adjusts the size of the images I’ve included on my pages, in posts and in my lesson content. Although this isn’t a huge problem, it does result in the theme making my logo absolutely huge when I add it to the bottom of my posts when it should be the size of thumbnail.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
