I have been setting up a new site with Church Pro for our church but I was surprised to see that a lot of hard-coded non-relative links were saved in database, particularly option ‘the_church’ in wp_options table. How will that work when I move the site to production?

To explain: the current site is at betaniaforsamlingen.se and I’m setting up the new site in a subfolder betaniaforsamlingen.se/v2/. Once I’m done, I will want to move the new site to the root folder to replace the old site and then links like betaniaforsamlingen/v2/wp-content/uploads/… won’t work. While I can do a search-and-replace operation on the database, having relative links would make things much easier. Or is there something I’m missing?

    Hi,

You will need to search and replace the site URL in database or in the Theme Options Panel data.
